General Warranty
OUR COMMITMENT
A Finish We Stand Behind
Every project we complete is backed by a warranty as thorough as the craftsmanship itself. Here's exactly what's covered, and how to keep your refinished surface looking its best for years to come.
General Warranty
Professional Reglazing is proud to offer a 5-year limited warranty on our reglazing services. This warranty covers bubbling, blistering, warping, and peeling due to workmanship or product defects during normal residential use, issues that are typically easy to recognize within the first few months.
In short, our warranty covers primer and finishing coat adhesion failure.
This warranty applies to the property owner and/or purchaser of our services, and begins from the date the work is completed.
Extended and Limited Coverage
We offer a 3-year limited warranty on the following:
- Repairs below the water line on fiberglass bathtubs
- Extensive repairs on fiberglass bathtubs and showers that include reinforcing the support underneath
Caulking is covered under a 1-year limited warranty.
What Isn't Covered
The following are not covered under this warranty:
- Rust repair, as rust is known to reappear over time, though our rust repair process will keep it at bay for an extended period
- Scratching, deterioration of the glossy finish, or staining that occurs over time due to normal wear and tear, incorrect cleaning practices, or water conditions
Additional Exclusions
Professional Reglazing is not liable for:
- Paint peeling from surrounding walls. To protect your furniture and belongings, we use masking tape during our work; peeling is not caused by tape removal, but typically results from walls not being properly prepared before painting (sanding and priming), or paint that hasn't fully cured. We recommend waiting 48 hours after painting before scheduling reglazing work.
- Damage or flaws caused by property owners or any third party, including tenants, pets, or other work crews
- Damage caused by objects placed on the refinished surface, such as suction-cup bath mats, bath pillows, or soap dishes. We do offer a slip-resistant surface option for tubs and showers if this is a concern.
- Damage caused by products not specifically designed for refinished surfaces, including but not limited to Comet, Ajax, Soft Scrub, ammonia, chlorine bleach, or other abrasive cleaners, acids, or toilet bowl cleaners
- Damage caused by abrasive tools such as scouring pads, steel wool, sandpaper, or other gritty materials
- Damage caused by the reglazed surface being touched or exposed to water within 48 hours of completed work, including damage from leaking faucets or drain backups
- Damage caused by tools, ladders, or other objects placed on, dropped on, or knocked against the reglazed surface
- Bubbling or peeling caused by chipping from objects or materials placed on the surface
- Bubbling or peeling caused by trapped moisture or unrepaired leaks
- Dust, debris, or insects that settle onto a freshly reglazed surface while it's still curing. Most particles are removed naturally through normal cleaning; damage caused by attempting to pick at the spot is not covered.
Caring for Your Investment
The long-term durability of any refinished surface, new or restored, depends largely on proper care and maintenance. For best results, please review our [Reglazing Care Instructions] and follow the guidance provided.
